Medieval town in Domfront. The Medieval town, one of the only ones of its kind in the Orne, was built in the shadow of the Château de Domfront according to a typical urban development plan from the Middle Ages with narrow cobbled streets, covered passageways and inner courtyards.
The 13th-century town walls encircle the historic centre with its half-timbered houses. At the end of the Middle Ages, private manors were built in the town, with a combination of half-timber, Armorican sandstone and red granite.
The Tourist Office organises guided tours during the peak season, and throughout the year with a booking.
