Since 2015, the Maison des arts "Agnès Varda" has had an art library with a collection of over 300 works open to borrowing. The artothèque is open to individuals, but also to schools, businesses, associations, local authorities, etc.
Over the years, the town of Grand Quevilly has acquired multiples (prints, serigraphs, photographs, etc.) as well as original works (drawings, paintings, sculptures, etc.), creating a collection of some 300 open works that can be borrowed and circulated. Since 2022, an acquisition committee has been involved in enriching the collection on an annual basis.
These works, available to all those (Que?villais and non-Que?villais, individuals, professionals and institutions) who wish to invite art into their homes, can be borrowed for a period of 2 months, renewable once.
As of January 2024, the artothèque will open its doors in a new 150 m² space dedicated to its collection and to welcoming the public, allowing a convivial encounter with the works. This time of discovery and choice can be enjoyed alone or with the family, and above all without having to make an appointment.
