The House of the 7 storks

In Hotot-en-Auge, the Maison aux 7 cigognes ticks all the boxes for a countryside break with style. This 3-star self-catering cottage, accredited by Gîtes de France, offers 130 m² of comfort in the Augeronne countryside, just a few minutes from Beuvron-en-Auge. Suffice to say that lovers of peace and quiet, Norman-style houses and breaks in the great outdoors will quickly find their rhythm here.
As soon as you arrive, the setting sets the tone: climbing roses on the façade, a vast 2,500 m² garden dotted with trees, a terrace for al fresco dining, sun loungers to help you slow down… and, with a bit of luck, storks gliding across the sky. Not a bad welcome committee. Your gaze also drifts towards the neighbouring manor house and the village’s panoramic church, whilst the nearby walking trails invite you to get out and enjoy the fresh air without any fuss. Just a pair of good walking shoes, a desire for the countryside, and off you go.
Inside, the house offers a seamless and relaxed living space. The ground floor opens onto a large, light-filled living area with a lounge, a decorative fireplace and a well-equipped open-plan kitchen: oven, microwave, large fridge-freezer, electric coffee maker, dishwasher and ample storage space. The utility room adds a practical touch, with a private washing machine and tumble dryer. Fibre broadband, TV, heating, bed linen and towels included round off the picture for a holiday, a family getaway or even a work-from-home break in the countryside.
Upstairs, three bedrooms can accommodate up to 6 people. A mezzanine level features a landing bedroom for 2 people and a space designed for children, with small furniture and games. Two further double bedrooms, a bathroom and a large convertible bed ensure there’s plenty of space for everyone. A cot, high chair, changing mat, board games and baby equipment also make family stays easier.
La Maison aux 7 cigognes is the sort of country house we love: spacious, light and airy, well-equipped, set in a green, peaceful spot where you can breathe more freely. A cosy and convenient base from which to explore the Pays d’Auge, stroll around Beuvron-en-Auge and savour Normandy with its apple orchards, sunken lanes and vibrant skies.”
