My traditional Norman guest house is ideally situated just twenty minutes from the A84 motorway, on the edge of the magnificent Calvados region. The charming towns of Villedieu-les-Poêles and Vire are just a few kilometres away.
My house enjoys an ideal, peaceful location on the main D524 road, right next to the town hall. You’ll find an electric vehicle charging point here. A tree-lined driveway, closed off by a wooden gate, leads to my house, where free parking is available.

I have furnished the two guest bedrooms simply yet elegantly, ensuring there is ample space for luggage. The bedrooms are connected by a door. A heat pump and air conditioning provide cosy warmth in winter and welcome coolness in summer.
Ideal for a family with children or a group of friends. I love the breathtaking views, the peace and quiet, whilst still enjoying a central location; this is where the Calvados region begins. From your room, you’ll discover unspoilt countryside stretching as far as the eye can see. A picture-postcard sunset, accompanied by a glass of wine, will be the perfect way to end the day…
The family suite comprises two rooms connected by a door. They can only be booked together. The sofa bed can be used as a second bed for an additional guest.

You’ll find coffee, tea, hot chocolate, croissants, traditional baguettes, fancy breads, hard-boiled eggs, jam, fruit juice, and local produce such as cheese, ham, pâté and fruit. There is no access to the kitchen, but there is a living room for your personal use, equipped with all necessary appliances.
From here, Villedieu-les-Poêles is just nine kilometres away. This village is renowned for its traditional Cornille-Havard bell foundry, its coppersmiths and its lace-making tradition, which is showcased in a museum. It is a charming little town with a typically French atmosphere, boasting numerous high-quality restaurants and cafés.
The larger town of Vire lies in the opposite direction, about eighteen kilometres away. It is the southernmost town in Calvados and offers an exceptional shopping experience. A lively market is held there on Fridays, and supermarkets and shopping areas are spread throughout the town.
Saint-Sever lies between the two. Just four kilometres from the house, directly on the D524, you’ll find all the shops and restaurants you need: a bakery, a butcher’s, a greengrocer’s, a florist’s, a Carrefour supermarket and several small restaurants offering takeaway meals.
