Holiday cottage at MarDédé’s
Welcome to MarDédé, a place to relax and recharge your batteries.
The holiday cottage has a bright, warm and natural atmosphere. It features a terrace on two sides, so you can enjoy the magnificent natural surroundings in fine weather. On cooler days, a cosy wood-burning stove invites you to linger.
An ideal haven of peace by a pond, surrounded by nature.
Here, you can relax, listen to the birdsong and the murmur of the stream, watch the water and take a deep breath. From time to time, a deer comes to visit us from the nearby forest.
In fine weather, the private pond is perfect for a swim or a few hours’ peaceful fishing.
The house can accommodate up to 4 people. It has two bedrooms, one with a double bed (140 x 200) and the other with a bunk bed (90 x 200). Ideal for a relaxing break for a couple or a small family.
A spacious, fully-equipped kitchen with an adjoining dining area and a comfortable bathroom ensure your comfort. The attached photos give you an excellent overview.
The surrounding area is full of walking trails and cycle paths.
For day trips, you could visit:
– Mont-Saint-Michel and its bay
– Granville and its harbour
– long sandy beaches
– Cancale
– the D-Day landing beaches (Normandy Landings)
– Bayeux
– the zoo
– the treetop adventure course / climbing park / summer toboggan run
All of these are within about an hour’s reach.
Guests have access to the entire holiday flat as well as the outdoor areas, including the two terraces adjoining the house and the area around the pond.
Access to the holiday home from the car park is via the lawn. Please bear this in mind when choosing your footwear (especially in wet weather).
Our house is on the same property and we’re here to help if you need anything or have any questions.
Towels and bed linen are included in the price.
Would you like to bring your dog? No problem. He’s very welcome. One dog per booking is permitted.
Please do, however, take note of the additional rules regarding your dog:
– If your dog is prone to chasing animals, we ask that you keep him on a lead on the property to protect the local wildlife.
– We also ask that you do not let your dog jump onto the furniture.
– You must not leave your dog alone in the accommodation.
– Please pick up after your dog.
The accommodation does not have a television. However, it is equipped with a very good fibre-optic internet connection, which you can use free of charge.
The accommodation is non-smoking. Smoking is permitted outside. We do, however, ask you to keep the area clean and to use the ashtrays provided in the accommodation for cigarette ends.
Use of the pond (swimming/fishing) is at guests’ own risk.
