Only a few minutes from the beach and the coast of Les Havres, Pirou is a village located in the center of Manche, the ideal starting point for visiting the department and its tourist assets (1 hour from Mont-Saint-Michel, 50 minutes from Landing beaches, 1 hour from Cherbourg). Pirou is also known for its fortified castle and its famous Norman legend which, it seems, allowed the Lord and his family to transform themselves into geese, using a grimoire, to escape the attackers. In addition, there is also the traditional whelks fair, a spring event promoting seafood and local products.
