This former late 18th-century presbytery is an elegant family home with typical half-timbered walls that Hervé is keen to bring up to date. The second floor is now a very pleasant and bright gîte with beautiful rooms all set high up. The atmosphere is pleasant: family or second-hand furniture adorns the characteristic rooms of these beautiful old houses with exposed beams, large windows, decorative fireplaces, and antique cupboards. You are here in the heart of a charming village in the Roumois region, on the edge of the Brotonne forest, which covers an entire bend of the Seine. The landscapes are superb, with incredible panoramas of the river, strolls through flax or wheat fields, in the woods, or through picturesque little villages. As for leisure activities, your program can begin with a visit to the on-site eco-museums: Maison du Sabotier, Four à pain, Jardin des herbes sauvages, amazing thousand-year-old yew trees converted into chapels, and 3 km away, the Maison du lin. The ground floor entrance leads to the staircase leading to the second floor. The apartment entrance leads to the living room, on the right, with the kitchen, dining area, and cozy sitting area; unobstructed views of the garden and village. On the other side, there are two charming bedrooms with parquet floors and closets: one with two single beds and a desk, the other with a 160×200 double bed. There is a bathroom with a shower, vanity unit, and toilet, and a washing machine area. On the garden side, you have your own private garden seating area, shaded by the trees, on the large enclosed property where you have access to approximately 500 m² of recently planted beautiful trees. There is also a second gîte for 5 people to the side of the large house. Ping-pong and badminton are available for outdoor play (in share with the second gîte), and board games are available indoors. 3 km away, in Routot, you will find shops and a restaurant.
