Fermily Lodges – The Weaver’s Yurt

This authentic, spacious traditional yurt can accommodate up to six people. With its large wooden terrace overlooking the pastures and its exotic atmosphere, it’s the ideal place to unwind with family or friends, surrounded by the Normandy countryside.
Step through the red door of La Yourte du Tisserand and let yourself be transported. Beneath its large canvas roof and lattice-work wooden walls, you’ll discover an incredible circular space that immediately invites a sense of togetherness. It’s an experience of total relaxation that will delight children and adults alike.
The interior, beautifully decorated with untreated wood and rattan furniture, is particularly spacious. To suit all families and groups of friends, the yurt offers a variety of sleeping arrangements:
> A standard double bed for parents.
> A large family bunk bed (comprising a double bed at the bottom, a single bed at the top and an additional pull-out bed).
> A large futon sofa in the sitting area.
You’ll have access to electricity and a area with a kettle, tea and coffee for your moments of relaxation, as well as a panoramic terrace.
Outside, the yurt stands on a private wooden terrace, furnished with a picnic table. It’s the perfect vantage point to enjoy your breakfast (available at an extra charge) or share a barbecue, whilst taking in unobstructed, panoramic views of the enclosures and the animals in the distance.
Dry toilets: Charming wooden dry toilets are located in the immediate vicinity (around 10 metres away), a space shared on a friendly basis with the Caravan and the Cabin.
Bathroom facilities: As the yurt is not connected to mains water, our large communal toilet block (modern, bright and equipped with standard showers, washbasins and toilets) is available for your use about 50 metres away.
Catering: Private barbecue on your terrace. Option to order packed lunches and access to our snack bar during the day (subject to opening hours).

VIP access to the estate: Stroll in complete privacy along the paths of the wildlife park after closing time, at dusk or at dawn.
Wake up on the farm: From 9.30 am, join our keeper for the morning animal feeding. An unforgettable experience for the children!
