In the heart of the Roumois region, La Haye-de-Routot is a charming village with its traditional half-timbered houses and ecomuseums. In one of its hamlets, Elisabeth warmly welcomes you to her beautiful, equally typical house with its timber framing and distinctive gable roof, nestled in the middle of a lovely, large garden: a terrace for convivial gatherings or breakfasts on sunny days, a permaculture vegetable garden, a pond, a chicken coop and sheep pasture, as well as a large orchard. Just behind, the magnificent Brotonne forest, situated in one of the Seine meanders, offers plenty of opportunities for walks. The bedroom is located upstairs and offers true comfort in a warm and inviting setting, with a lovely private bathroom and toilet. You will enjoy the delicious breakfasts prepared by Elisabeth using homemade products such as cakes, apple juice, eggs, seasonal fruit, and carefully selected local produce. You can take advantage of the bicycles to explore the surrounding country roads and reach places like Routot, with its shops and restaurants. A little further afield, don't miss a visit to Pont-Audemer, a charming, quintessentially Norman town with its canals, narrow streets, and typical old houses, and the Marais Vernier, a superb nature reserve. Upstairs in the half-timbered house, accessible via the traditional staircase under the "jay's tail" arch, is a charming, cozy attic bedroom with wood paneling: a double bed, a desk, and armchairs for comfort. Adjoining is a beautiful, modern bathroom with a large walk-in shower, a vanity unit, and a toilet. Breakfast is served in the dining room, by a crackling fire in winter, or in the lovely, spacious garden that opens onto the countryside in warmer weather. Parking is available under the carport, with access (for a fee) to an electric vehicle charging station. There is a children's play area in the garden. The GR23 hiking trail is 2 km away.
