A 12-hectare estate dedicated to fly fishing, the Moulin de Chaise Dieu du Theil is a true haven of peace in Normandy, in the heart of the Iton Valley. From the moment you enter the property, you’ll be charmed by this bucolic, soothing, and rejuvenating setting nestled among rivers, lakes, and ponds. Both in the mill and on the upper floor of the fishermen’s lodge, Emilie has created three elegant guest rooms with high-quality amenities, full of charm, and offering superb views of the estate from every angle. You’ll enjoy gourmet breakfasts as well as, by reservation, a delicious table d’hôte featuring fine local products selected by the chef. As for leisure activities, this region of the Pays d’Ouche is very pretty and inspires lovely walks to small towns like Verneuil d’Avre et d’Iton or L’Aigle, or charming villages like Chaise-Dieu-du-Theil, via small roads and country lanes. And why not plan a day of fishing right here—book in advance—to stay in this enchanting setting? On site, you’ll find a charming little flea market to browse, a shop selling quality local products, a tea lounge and cocktail bar with a fine selection of wines to enjoy on the spot. There is also a room available for rent for your small events (20 to 30 people). The GR 221 hiking trail passes through the village 700 meters away. IN THE LODGE: the "fishermen’s room" is located on the upper floor of the fishermen’s lodge. With its sloped ceiling, it has plenty of charm: a sleeping area with 2 single beds (90×200 cm) that can be arranged as twins or a double bed upon request (high-end bedding), a sitting area, and a bathroom with a toilet. On-site, access to the fishing grounds with daily services, as well as a seminar room. Option to rent the entire property (1,600€ per day / meal service available: check with the owner). IN THE MILL: on the second floor, "Murmures de feuilles" is a beautiful, spacious room with lovely panoramic decor and plush carpeting: high-end bedding (160×200 cm), living area, desk, and spacious bathroom with an XXL walk-in shower, double vanity, and toilet. The "Pink Room" is also spacious and elegant, warm and chic with its beaded chandelier and antique furniture: high-end bedding (180×200 cm), armchair, desk, and a beautiful bathroom with a large spa tub, a vanity with two sinks, and a separate toilet. To complete the suite, right next door, there is a bedroom for one person or two children (120×200 cm bed). On the garden side, while you have plenty of space to relax or stroll around the mill and the lodge, the rest of the property is reserved for anglers seeking peace and quiet. The tea room is open Friday through Monday. Table d’hôte (€31 for lunch, €36 for dinner, gourmet plate €25; prices exclude drinks).
