The Vièvre is a charming little region with a distinctly Norman feel: rolling green landscapes of hedgerows and forests, sunken lanes perfect for strolling, and pretty, typical villages like Saint-Georges-du-Vièvre. In its heart, nestled in a quiet cul-de-sac, La Thonet welcomes you. From the moment you pass through the small gate, you'll be enveloped in the atmosphere of this haven, a charming property with an intimate, enclosed, and beautifully landscaped garden. From the large terrace, where you can enjoy breakfast on sunny days, there's a view of the old church steeple and, at your feet, a pond teeming with goldfish amidst the plants; there's also a gazebo for a moment of solitude and ducks that wander about as they please. Daniel has created a suite that occupies the entire floor, just for you: two beautiful, comfortable bedrooms, your own private bathroom, and a lounge/library area on the landing with a desk if needed. Shops and a restaurant are located in the pretty village. The ground floor entrance opens onto a staircase leading to the upstairs suite. On the landing, there is a lounge area, a library with board games, and a desk with complimentary hot drinks. The suite occupies the rest of the floor and offers two lovely bedrooms overlooking the garden and village: the first bedroom has two single beds and an armchair for relaxation, while the second has a queen-size bed (160x200cm), a sitting area, and a TV with a DVD player. There is a beautiful private bathroom with a double vanity; the toilet is separate. Breakfast is served on the ground floor in the living room, which opens onto the terrace and garden, and features a fireplace. Breakfast is also served in the garden when the weather is fine. La Thonet is generally open on weekends, from Thursday to Saturday evenings. The 500m² terrace and garden include a protected fish pond.
