Chambre d'hôtes la Granch'

Conceived as a true meeting place and hub of sharing in the heart of a charming village, La Granch' offers a stay just the way we like them: genuine, authentic, and welcoming. Gaëlle and Jean-Mickaël, passionate about historical heritage and nature lovers, warmly welcome you and share their passions and extensive knowledge of this superb Normandy area: in the village, Harcourt Castle and its arboretum, with an illuminated trail in winter; 6 km away, the incredible Château du Champ de Bataille; or 9 km away, the listed village and Bec Hellouin abbey, which you can reach via the greenway. The three guest rooms are located in an elegant half-timbered outbuilding, renovated with meticulous attention to detail and an eco-friendly approach: local and natural bio-sourced materials (earth, wood, flax straw, terracotta, hemp), second-hand or handcrafted furniture, natural garden management promoting biodiversity with beehives, and an LPO (League for the Protection of Birds) refuge. And it's a wonderful place to stay! You'll enjoy a lovely living area where you can settle in as you please. The decor is creative and original, both soft and colorful, the atmosphere comfortable and cozy, even playful in the family room: a real gem! The breakfasts are delicious, featuring excellent homemade or local products. On the ground floor of the annex, a spacious and welcoming living area awaits you: a lounge with a view of the garden, books and board games, a flexible dining area, and a kitchen where you can prepare a snack. The "Perfect Harmony" bedroom, also on the ground floor, offers detached access from the terrace and direct access to the living area: terracotta tiles, exposed beams and earthen plaster, industrial-style windows, and a musical theme; a double bed (160×200 cm), a desk, and an en-suite shower room with a separate toilet. Upstairs, a landing with a small sitting area leads to the "Bicycle" bedroom, featuring parquet flooring, exposed beams, rattan furniture, and antique pieces; a double bed (160×200 cm), a desk, and an en-suite shower room; and a separate toilet. On the other side is the large family room "A tout trèfle" (All Clover): original and colorful, it offers an entrance area with a desk, separated by the original exposed beams and three steps from the sleeping area with a double bed (160×200 cm) and a sloping alcove, and below, three single beds (quality futons); a shower room with toilet. A lovely terrace opens onto the wooded garden with outdoor furniture for relaxation and dining. Games are available: trampoline, swing, or skittles on site, or a fitness trail, pétanque court, and playground in the village. The Evreux/Le Bec Hellouin greenway is 1.9 km away. Parking is available outside the property, but is also possible on the property itself.
