Les Franciscaines

A much-sought-after destination just two hours from Paris, Deauville saw the opening, in June 2020, of an exceptional new venue close to the beach entirely dedicated to culture, professional gatherings and events – Les Franciscaines. Bearing witness to the resort’s rich heritage, this former 19th-century convent, renovated by the architectural practice Moatti & Rivière, has been transformed into a cultural facility of a completely new type, its high-quality technical capabilities matching the remarkable architecture, offering your guests a unique experience.

Its more than 6,000m2 include a fully-equipped auditorium, a museum, exhibitions, a Fablab, areas for holding receptions and adaptable spaces… so many functional options that can suit all manner of events, whether held by day or by night, for anything from 15 to 1,200 people if opting for the cocktail party format, or then up to 300 people for a sit-down dinner.

Among the exceptional spaces at Les Franciscaines are :

The chapel: decorated with 19th-century stained-glass windows, it provides 250m2 of space that can be configured in many ways, given that the tiered seating here can be removed:

• For programming shows, film projections, seminars, conferences, symposia…  (if set up as an auditorium – capacity of 230 people seated);
• Reception room for cocktails or corporate incentive events (if set up as an open space – capacity of 528 people standing)

The cloister: covered by a spectacular glass roof, it covers over 400m2 and is open to all visitors. This exceptional space can also be used for cocktails, dinners and events, including festivities (capacity of 300 people, seated).

The creative reception rooms: 4 reception rooms measuring between 23m2 and 57m2, designed to encourage experimentation, discoveries the imagination and team creativity… but they can also be used for dinners, gatherings or presentations.

The Courtyard for exhibitions: 630m2 of exhibition spaces dedicated to art, which you can enjoy sharing with your guests, admiring the major works in Les Franciscaines’s collections, plus masterpieces brought in from major French national museums.
