Du parking, descendre au bourg par le chemin du Donjon parallèle à la route d'Alençon.

Au carrefour, descendre la rue du Pont (GR® 36), franchir la Sarthe et s'engager sur le chemin des Gaulois à droite. Il longe la vallée de la Sarthe. À la fourche, monter par le sentier à gauche. Laisser le sentier à gauche et poursuivre l'ascension tout droit en sous-bois. Continuer par le large chemin bordé de haies en face.

À La Saussaie, laisser le GR® 36 à droite et continuer tout droit par la route. Au carrefour, prendre la route à droite. Dépasser le calvaire et La Soudonnière. À l'entrée de La Paire, descendre par la piste à droite.

À l'embranchement, continuer la descente par la piste sur 75 m (GR® 36), puis tourner à droite sur le chemin en lisière du bois et longer le haut du coteau sur 1 km.

Au carrefour en T, laisser le GR® à droite et descendre par la piste à gauche. Avant la maison en ruine, passer la barrière à gauche, traverser le pré vers la gauche et franchir la passerelle sur la Sarthe. Tourner à droite, longer le moulin de Trotté et continuer par le chemin d'accès.

Traverser la D 144, entrer dans le hameau de Sarthon et, au bout, franchir la passerelle sur le Sarthon. Emprunter le chemin à droite, puis la D 144 à gauche. Elle monte au centre de Saint Céneri.

Remonter à gauche au parking de la mairie par le chemin utilisé à l'aller.

Eglise et chapelle de Saint Céneri-le-Gérei
Built on former sarcophagus in the beginning of the 12th century. Built in sandstone and granite, on a rocky promontory.
Frescos from the 12th and 14th centuries, restored in 2006.
Nearby, in a vast grassland, The Saint-Cénéri little chapel (15th century) on the site of the Saint ermite’s oratory. Stained glasse created in 2007 by Cathy Van Hollebeke.
The church is open every day through the year.
The chapel is open from Juin to September (call before coming).
