The Escargot des Marnières is an outdoor snail farm right in the middle of the Norman countryside. Véronique Paysan, the manager, won the first prize in the contest "Talents gourmands Normandie Seine" in 2013, category "farmers".
Produce: escargots in their shell, escargots in a crispy edible shell, escargots in puff pastry, preserves of confit escargots, various escargot spreads (escargotine, escapéro, escaporto, escargaubergine, mushroom), etc. New: “Hermaphrodite” soap made with snail slime.
Also available in the shop: cider, sparkling drinks, apple juice, honey, strawberry cordial and beauty products made with snail slime, 100% natural body soap made using the slime of the snails from the farm.
Farm shop open every day from 3.30 pm to 6.00 pm.
Also present on the market in Verneuil-sur-Avre and Evreux on Saturday mornings.
Guided tour of the farm by appointment in the afternoons from June to September and occasional events (Open Day during the national event Welcome to the Farm, etc.).
