Representing all five continents, kite enthusiasts and professionals fly and exhibit all sorts of different kites. Don’t miss the big parade on the first Sunday of the event where you can admire a range of spectacular kites from all over the world, dotting the sky with bright colours. Enjoy a cultural experience as hundreds of guests march in traditional costume through the streets of the seaside resort, proudly displaying their original creations. The festival also celebrate the peoples and cultures of the world, with a strong focus on conservation.

AN AWESOME SHOW

Heads in the clouds, yet feet firmly on the ground, visitors to the festival can get involved in interactive activities such as kite-building workshops and sessions with kite-flying professionals, and enjoy the excellent live entertainment, arts and crafts, and market stalls. The festival features everything kids love, especially on Children’s Day, where there are teddy bears’ first flights, balloon releases, a wind maze and other fun wind-related activities. Closing the festival, the stunning evening light show where hundreds of kites magically light up the night, is a highlight not to be missed.
