Normandy is intrinsically linked to horses and is renowned for its centuries-old horse-breeding traditions. Amid the tapestry of green pastures ideal for raising world-class horses, Normandy’s prestigious historic national studs – the Haras du Pin National Stud and the Pole Saint-Lô National Stud – are home to some of the most magnificent horses and sumptuous grounds to be found anywhere in the world and are two of the largest studs in France.
Horse lovers, this 190km horse-riding trail connecting the two studs will give you the best equestrian, cultural and natural experiences Normandy has to offer. Besides a fascinating behind-the-scenes peek at the region’s top studs, you’ll discover some of Normandy’s natural and cultural highlights, such as the Roches de Ham, the Viaduc de la Souleuvre, the Roche d’Oëtre and the Château de Pontécoulant. You will also experience our wonderful traditions and hospitality, and taste regional specialties along the way.
