Starting at the UNESCO-listed Bay of the Mont-Saint-Michel, the route passes through Normandy’s typical bocage hedgerow landscape up to Cherbourg, and then down the rugged eastern coast of the Cotentin peninsula through all five of the D-Day Landing Beaches. The route then follows Normandy’s Flowered Coast through the pretty seaside resorts of Cabourg, Deauville, Trouville and Honfleur, before heading over the Seine Estuary onto the dramatic Alabaster Coast, and resorts such as Le Havre, Etretat, Fécamp and Dieppe, before ending up in Le Tréport.

On this picturesque pedaling challenge, the route can be split up into as many days as you wish. With fantastic scenery, bike-friendly cafés, restaurants and accommodation all along the route, and friendly locals, there’s no simpler and more enjoyable way to explore Normandy’s coast.
