This heritage site is dedicated to reporters and to freedom of the press. This memorial comprises white steles upon which the names of over 2,000 journalists, killed across the globe since 1944, are engraved. It was designed and produced by the Bayeux Council and Reporters Sans Frontières (Reporters Without Borders).

A Bayeux and Reporters without borders project dedicated to reporters and freedom of the press. This site unique in Europe comprises a landscaped promenade lined with 27 white stones on which more than 2000 names of journalists killed on the job around the world since 1944 are already inscribed. An interactive terminal inside the Battle of Normandy Museum traces the journeys taken by these journalists.
