Technical visits

At the dam in Poses, visitors can see migrating fish travelling up the river Seine to go and reproduce in freshwater. Through large windows below the water level, you can observe the pools that allow fish to move over the dam, the first obstacle on the river Seine when coming from the sea. Salmon, sea trout, eels, common bream, alosa, sea lampreys and common bleak, which, for some of them, have travelled thousands of kilometres, are found here between April and August.
