Parc du Château de Fontaine-la-Soret

Parks and gardens

Pets accepted
The park and gardens of the Chateau of Fontaine-la-Soret are divided into three parts:
• A classic part with broad-leaved trees (some of which were planted at the end of the 18th century) and an Italianate avenue.
• An area designed and created by Russe Page around 1965: small enclosed gardens, a garden of blue and white flowers and a gentle slope down to a cedar of Lebanon planted in around 1770.
• A romantic area created in the 19th century and a 400 metre lake with several waterfalls.
The restoration work in the park has been in progress since 1986, undertaken and supervised by the landscape gardener Louis Benech.
