The Normandy Museum offers a panorama of the lives of the people who have occupied Normandy's entire territory, from prehistory to the massive migrations during the Early Middle Ages and up to the transformations brought to the rural landscape by the industrial revolution.

    A social history museum, rich in archaeological and ethnographic collections, the Normandy Museum presents a panorama of life in Normandy from prehistoric times through the migrations of the Middle Ages, the changes in rural areas to the beginnings of the industrial age. From the earliest monuments, from the Gauls to the Romans, the French kingdoms and the Nordic invaders - the great history of the creation of a land. Its habits and landscapes, crafts and techniques, costumes and customs. Guided tours of the collections and exhibitions (tours and workshops), the Caenl castle (archaeological trail) and the city of Caen (urban heritage walks). New games for children since 2015. Adapted tours and workshops for people with all kinds of disabilities (visual, hearing, motor and mental) can be organised.
