A historical site with a preservation order on it which offers an educational trail explaining how the Battery works and the significance of each blockhouse in the dawn assault on the 6th June. Blockhouse N° 11: sounds, smells and smoke plunge the visitor into the real hell-like conditions of the day. Blockhouse N°2: a memorial to the 9th British parachute regiment. Blockhouse N°3: honouring the glider pilots, commando N° 3, 45th commando of the Royal Marines and the 1st battalion of Canadian paratroopers. Blockhouse N° 4: dedicated to units in Operation Paddle.
