It was built in the late 16th century by Jean Le Coq, officer of the court. The visit exemplifies the rural seigneury during the troubled period of the Wars of Religion. A very elaborate defensive system, in perfect condition, protected the residence from any enemy incursions. The outbuildings comprise a bakery, a press room, barns, horse stables and stables bordering the front courtyard.
