Technical visits-Crafts and industries

An exceptional and unique encounter with the last surviving French manufacturer of pins and needles: BOHIN France!
Nestled on the riverbank, this factory is still in operation, working with the same ancient expertise and old machines as those used in times gone by. BOHIN France is the only remaining French manufacturer of pins and needles (180 years of business, with products distributed in over 35 countries). Explore 2000m2 of production workshops where the company's employees work away, and discover the factory's huge, contemporary museum. Please note: employees do not work on weekends, but video screens take over to show you how the machines are operated during the week.

The BOHIN company is now listed at the Directory of Historical Monuments. You'll discover all the secrets of the only manufacturer of pins and needles in France, starting from a steel wire: the piercing eye, the cheeks filing, polishing, plating, the sciurage, winnowing, tillering, packaging, special machinery on some of the 19th century.
