Dating back to the 13th century, Hauville's windmill reminds us of the importance of the flour milling industry in the Norman countryside. This "stone mill", the last working windmill in Normandy, cuts a fine figure with its rotating oak framed roof covered with reed thatch, that is turned according to the direction of the wind, its elegant stone tower and its large sails, which have been fully restored in 2011. Inside, you can take a look at the mechanism, and if there is some wind, you might be able to see it work and move its 1.80-metre (6 ft) tall grindstones!
