Château de Vendeuvre


This 18th Century listed Historic Monument is still home to the Vendeuvre family. Inside the castle, discover life in the 18th Century thanks to a series of moving subjects. In the basement, the kitchens bear witness to day-to-day life in this fine residence. The Orangery houses a Miniature Furniture museum - the world's very first collection. Exhibition of 17th to 19th Century dog kennels. In the gardens, "surprising" fountains punctuate the visitor's stroll. In April, the Tulip Festival. Unaccompanied visit lasts 1h30/2h.

    This listed chateau has kept most of its original furniture, maintaining its 18th century feel. Every room is brought to life with mechanical models. Exposition "A table au 18e siècle". Visitors may also visit the chateau’s kitchens in the basement. 17th to 19th century kennels exhibition. Take a stroll through the gardens of water "surprises" and French-style park. The orangery houses the Museum of Miniature Furniture. Signs in GB, D, NL, I or E. Activities and games for school children. 'L'animal et l'art' exhibition. Restaurant facilities on site only if combined with a visit. Snacks possible. Classed as a ‘Garden of Note’.
