Consecrated on the 14th of July 1077 in the presence of William the Conqueror, King of England and Duke of Normandy, this veritable treasure of medieval Norman architecture was further embellished and added to during the 13th, 14th and 15th centuries. The treasury and the chapter rooms can also be opened by prior arrangement with staff at the Museum of Art and History Baron Gérard. Guided tour of the Cathedral can also be arranged with the Bayeux tourist office.
