In the middle of forests and ponds, the monastery (néo-gothic rebuilt at the end of the 19th century) where the Rancé priest reformed in the 17th century, the order of the Cisterciens. The monastery fence protects the abbey and buildings from the 13th century. The abbey is a prayers place where the trappist monks live, so it is not open for visits. A video presents the history and today's life in the monastery (on demand). A shop of regional and monastic products is open everyday.
