Le Bec Hellouin has been listed among the “Most Beautiful Villages in France” since 2006 thanks to its half-timbered houses, its harmonious village centre and the tranquil atmosphere that emanates from it.
Notre-Dame Abbey is a must-see. Founded in 1035 by Knight Herluin, it has been a very influential abbey for centuries. Occupied by a community of Benedictine monks who make ceramic works, it is open to visitors every day.
The Tourist Information Centre will give you all the useful information you need to explore this masterpiece of Norman heritage. It also has a brochure available to learn more about this very beautiful village, its history and its architecture.
