Room with a view

Overlooking Honfleur, at the foot of a nineteenth century lighthouse whose light guided local mariners for nearly a century, guests can sleep in the former keeper's residence. The tower is too narrow for bedroom space, but visitors have their breakfast on the ground floor, and can climb the 164 steps to admire the view over the Seine estuary from the 100-foot high lantern at the top of the lighthouse.
