The public international health crisis makes it inadvisable to travel to Normandy. Like many other parts of the world, France is currently on lockdown. The global pandemic is unsettling, and our thoughts are with those who are affected by the virus and the uncertainty surrounding it. We stand in support of our local tourism and hospitality communities and know that by standing together we will emerge from this situation stronger than ever. When you are ready to explore again, we’ll welcome you back to this beautiful part of France with open arms. In the meantime, we hope you'll find inspiration on this website. We’re all in this together, and Normandy will be waiting for you when you can travel again. For the time being, please stay home and stay safe. We hope to see you soon.
Latest update (7 May):
All five of Normandy’s 'départements' (Calvados, Eure, Manche, Orne, Seine-Maritime) received a green designation from the French government on 7 May. Lockdown will be lifted from 11 May. Most shops and small museums will start re-opening on that date. Cafés and restaurants could open early June.
