Escape with the Flipper II from the harbor of Carentan to discover the Bay of Veys, the Saint-Marcouf Islands, and Utah Beach. Also practice sea fishing aboard the fishing boat. The Flipper II, gorgeous white and blue boat docked at the port of Carentan, offers a variety of boat trips to discover the bay of Veys, and its wild Carentan channel that connects to the sea. It is not uncommon come across seals of living peacefully in the bay in the middle of migrating birds that inhabit the maritime part of the marsh: Brévands polders and the general Vey. Once out of the channel, you can go to the Saint-Marcouf Islands, a small archipelago composed of two small islands located about seven kilometers: Island Earth and Island Large, seabird sanctuary. Access to these islands is however forbidden. From there you have a beautiful view on the entire east coast of the Cotentin and the mythical beach landing Channel: Utah Beach, where in 1944 23 250 men, 1,700 combat vehicles and 1,695 tons of supplies landed to liberate Normandy and France.
