Nearby tourist sites of the peninsula and the landing beaches, this Norman manor, in the same family for over a century, was built between the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries on the ruins of a monastery destroyed by the Edward III landed troops not far from there to Saint-Vaast-la-Hougue in 1346.
