Tributes - 75th Anniversary of the Landing and Liberation of Le Havre

This year is a year of commemoration and memory since 2019 is the 75th anniversary of the landing of Allied troops on the beaches of Calvados and the Battle that followed until the liberation of Normandy.
A series of tributes will be made to celebrate places or people emblematic of this event and the 2nd World War.
Tribute Days to bomb victims of September 1944
    Wednesday, September 4 at 4:30 pm: tribute to the municipal employees who died for France in the Francois 1er hall of the Hôtel de Ville;
    Thursday, September 5 at 5 pm: tribute to the National Teams in front of the Avenue Foch stele (at No. 100);
    Friday, September 6 at 10:30 am: commemoration of the disappearance of the Le Havre pilot Jean Maridor at Sainte-Marie cemetery;
    Friday, September 6 at 5 pm: tribute to the medal winners at the Sainte-Marie cemetery, in front of the war monument of 1870;
    Friday, September 6 at 5:05 pm: tribute to the civilian victims of the war at St. Mary's Cemetery, in front of the monument erected in memory of the civilian victims;
    Friday, September 6 at 5:15 pm: Tunnel Jenner, in front of the stele erected in memory of the Havrais who died there in September 1944;
    Friday, September 6 at 6 pm: a commemorative plaque on St. Joseph's Church to honor the 3,000 victims of Allied bombing in September 1944;
Anniversary of the Liberation of Le Havre
    Thursday, September 12 at 5 pm: ceremony in front of the memorial "Resistance - Deportation - Remember", in the gardens of the Town Hall;
    Thursday, September 12 at 5:15 pm: commemorative ceremony in front of the War Memorial and Victory, General de Gaulle Square.
