Painting exhibition: Brutta Matta - Copie

Brutta Matta, winner of the Painters’ Day, organized by the Union des Commerçants of Villers sur Mer, exhibits his works at the Villare. Whether it comes to seaside or other types of landscapes, his palette is always joyful, bright, optimist and soothing.
Brutta Matta is a self-taught painter.
Born in the surroundings of Paris in 1946, he works in the field of graphic arts. He has won several prizes in many fairs of the Parisian region as well as many more acknowledges: the Maurice Martin Prize of the Fondation Taylor, the Prize of the International Festival of Deauville.
He has exhibited in prestigious places: the Assemblée nationale, the Invalides, the Horset Opéra and the United States Embassy. Open air painter like the Impressionists, Brutta Matta does not want to faithfully reproduce the lanscapes in front of which he usually places his easel. His aim is reproducing the emotion of that moment, the purity and chromatic contrast of lights.
His canvas are bright, optimistic and soothing. Whether it comes to seaside or other types of landscapes, his palette is always joyful and bright. The subtlety and freshness of his oil canvas make us think about watercolour works that are able to attract and surprise the visitors’ glance. A soothing journey through a very interesting exhibition, highlighting Normandy’s light.
