Cultural Season - Sophie Alour invite...

Sophie Alour is one of the best saxophonists of French jazz.
Being largely appreciated by other musicians, she invited for a concert and an album four exclusive musicians. This concert revisits the great classics of jazz.
Stéphane Belmondo, son and brother of saxophonists, is one of the best trumpet-players of his generation. First playing with Michel Legrand, Stéphane Grapelli, Chet Baker or Jacky Terrasson… he went to New York and stayed there for 5 years to play with the greatest artists of American jazz. Since he came back to France, he has been showing a great passion for Chet Baker and Ravel… his discographic success lead him to win five “Victoires de la musique” in three years.
André Ceccarelli has often accompanied Dee Dee Bridgewater. For fifty years, he has been the favourite drummer of swing singers (Aznavour, Bécaud, Nougaro, Salvador, Jonasz…) and jazz and soul singers too (Tina Turner, Aretha Franklin,…).
Alain Jean-Marie, Bebop pianist, creator of biguine jazz, is a brilliant soloist that can also become a sensitive and empathic music partner. Winner of great jazz prizes, during his fifty-year-long career, he has been showing with Barney Wilen and Dee Dee Bridgewater harmonic subtility and love for melodic sentences. Sylvain Romano is not forty yet, he plays double bass and is often invited by Lionel and Stéphane Belmondo. He is also a great music partner of the young jazz generation, especially pianists Jacky Terrasson and Pierre de Bethmann.
