Tatihou Island

Lace up those boots and get ready to cross the bay at low tide to reach this beautiful small island!

Located just opposite the charming port of Saint-Vaast-la-Hougue, Tatihou is a small island which you can reach by an amphibious craft, although it is also possible to walk there over the local oyster beds at low tide. Every year in August, it plays host to a quirky folk music festival: ‘Les Traversées Tatihou’. The island is also home to a maritime museum, botanical gardens and a beautiful bird reserve.
