Sound & Light Shows

It’s that time of year when the sun sets late, temperatures are mild, and it's perfect weather to watch an outdoor sound and light show.


Every summer, hundreds of thousands of spectators line the square in front of Rouen cathedral to watch the facade come to life. This season, your eyes are sure to light up when you see the spectacular visuals narrating the Norman Vinking adventures. The second show features the vessels that travelled the seas in seach of the new world.

From 1st June to 15 September 2019 at nightfall. Free!


In Bayeux, the light show is displayed not only on the cathedral but also on the magnificent tree trunk at the centre of the square. In an array of vibrant colours, ten stories celebrating France’s journey to freedom and liberty are portrayed. Pure magic!

On Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at nightfall, from 16 July to 31 August 2019. Free!


Sées Cathedral in the south of Normandy will also run its annual Musilumières sound and light show on weekends throughout the summer, telling the tale of the cathedral itself. Get ready to travel back in time to 1209 for a 45-minute spectacular!

The Mont-Saint-Michel

Rediscover Normandy's most famous landmark through a new sound & light show named The Archangel. Enter the Abbey and watch the historic walls, ceiling and floor come to life!

From 6 July to 31 August. €12-€15


On 9 June 2019, the famous Pont Colbert bridge in Dieppe will celebrate its 130th anniversary. Activities, concerts and tastings will be taking place all afternoon from 2pm and at nightfall, a big sound & light show will bring the bridge to life, telling the story of two lovers seperated by the river and who reunite thanks to the bridge.
