Caen

Caen’s traditional and cosmopolitan Christmas market houses, in the city-centre (boulevard Maréchal-Leclerc, square of the theater and square de la République), over sixty chalets selling an outstanding array of Christmas goodies from around the world such as nativity figurines, Christmas sweets, pain d’épices gingerbread, mulled wine and cider and traditional waffles.

An other Christmas market, Place Saint-Sauveur, will also make people happy, with the particularity of being local, supportive, fair and eco-citizen.

CHRISTMAS MARKET IN Saint-Pierre-EN-AUGE

One of the most beautiful Normandy Christmas markets is held in in France’s biggest medieval hall in Saint-Pierre-en -Auge. This town’s market is known to be one of the best in Normandy, so imagine what it looks like at Christmas! Discover delicious local produce at 150 stalls and enjoy a variety of entertainment.

NATIVITY SCENES IN Lisieux

Lisieux is hosting the Crèches du monde exhibition at the Saint-Jean-Paul-II pastoral center, opposite the Basilica. The event brings together one of the largest collections of nativity scenes from countries all over the world.

Falaise WELCOMES ALICE TO WONDERLAND

The storytelling exhibition “Alice in Wonderland” is back for a final edition at the Château de Falaise. Life-size decors, video projections, lighting ambiances and musical atmospheres will bring Alice to life in the rooms of the castle. An adventure that we owe to the author and illustrator Benjamin Lacombe.

  • 11 November – 1 January (reservation only)
  • From November 11 to December 17: Saturday and Sunday at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.
  • From December 23 to January 7: every day at 11 a.m., 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.
  • Duration: 1 hour. December 24 and 31: last session at 2 p.m.

Closed on December 25 and January 1.

CHRISTMAS CHALETS IN Honfleur

With chalets set around the famous Vieux Bassin (old harbour), this is one of Normandy’s most picturesque Christmas markets.

In Bayeux, Guillaume’s cathedral

A new immersive show takes over Bayeux Cathedral in 2023. Entitled “Le Merveilleux Voyage”, this sound and light show takes visitors on a captivating journey into the medieval history of Normandy.

Every day except December 22-24-25-31 and January 1
